ParkSmarter

Cookie Policy

Last updated: 17 May 2026

1. About cookies

Cookies are small files a website stores on your device. This policy explains which cookies ParkSmarter (parksmartermsqr.uk) uses and why.

2. We do not track you

ParkSmarter uses no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. We do not profile visitors and we do not share browsing data with advertisers. The customer parking pages set no cookies of their own.

3. The cookies we use

We only use strictly necessary cookies, and only for the operator and enforcement-officer sign-in area. They are required for that area to work and cannot be switched off:

  • Session cookie– keeps an operator or enforcement officer signed in after they log in.
  • Security (CSRF) cookie– protects the sign-in form against cross-site request forgery.
  • Callback cookie– briefly remembers which page to return to after sign-in.

These cookies are only set if you sign in to the administration area. If you are a parking customer simply paying for parking, none of them are set.

4. Your cookie preference

When you first visit the site you may see a cookie notice. Your choice is remembered in your browser's local storage so the notice is not shown again – this is a preference setting, not a tracking cookie.

5. Third-party services

  • Stripe– card payment is completed on Stripe's own secure pages, which set their own cookies governed by Stripe's cookie and privacy policies.
  • Esri map tiles– location maps are shown as a hybrid satellite view (Esri World Imagery base with transparent boundaries / place-name / road overlays from Esri Reference). Tile requests are served by Esri's public ArcGIS endpoints; they do not set tracking cookies.

6. Managing cookies

You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking the strictly necessary cookies above will prevent the administration sign-in from working, but will not affect paying for parking.

7. More information

For how we handle personal data more generally, see our Privacy Policy.
